Author of Letters To My Son, turning loss to legacy.
I am so proud and pleased to announce the 2011 release of the second edition of my book now entitled :
Letters to My Son,Turning Loss to Legacy"
This is the second printing of my beloved book Letters to My Son, a journey through grief. It has been updated with much more material including Whispers of love, Proactive grieving, turning loss to legacy and the groundbreaking S.T.A.IR.S. modality of grief staging.
Letters to My Son is now in a hard back gift edition illustrated with "The 20 faces of Grief"(and instructions) and other drawings created for the book.
It has been becoming an intentional survivor and serving the bereaved which has created this new edition of Letters to My Son. It is truly my magnum opus and continuing legacy for my son Kelly who has now been gone from my arms 23 years.
Still partners across the veil we want to make a difference for others who grieving the loss of a loved one in their lives. There is life after death on BOTH sides of the equation; we can survive and even thrive after a significant loss in our lives, and we do it together. Believe.

This site is dedicated to my only Son, Kelly James Carmody who died in 1987 of a malignant brain tumor. Since that day I have dedicated my life to serving the bereaved. This site was created for those whom may find comfort from my book, my writings my portraits, drawings, and or prints.
It is also place for processing your grief, asking questions about the journey, or just writing about your loved one, sharing their life and your loss.
This is a new format from my older site and easier for me to maintain directly; please have patience with the transition.
I welcome all comments via my email address and as always I am available for questions, and sharing of your bereavement journey. We need not walk alone.
Thank you

The Miracle of the Corn stalk.

This spring I was having a " Kelly Day " and feeling sad and melancholy about his loss in my life, as I gazed out under the shade of the newly leafing tree...again I see the image of " Dad" in the shadowy grass and oddly very similar the cornstalk image 20 years earlier. Love never dies.
