This site is dedicated to my only Son, Kelly James Carmody who died in 1987 of a malignant brain tumor. Since that day I have dedicated my life to serving the bereaved. This site was created for those whom may find comfort from my book, my writings my portraits, drawings, and or prints.
It is also place for processing your grief, asking questions about the journey, or just writing about your loved one, sharing their life and your loss.
This is a new format from my older site and easier for me to maintain directly; please have patience with the transition.
I welcome all comments via my email address and as always I am available for questions, and sharing of your bereavement journey. We need not walk alone.
Thank you
Mitch Carmody

Please help. I have been writing for Living with Loss Magazine for several years now. What Carla does as editor and with her talented writers makes this wonderful magazine the great grief resource it has become. The current recession may threaten its existence if subscription rates do not improve. Please help keep this magazine available for the bereaved, sign up, spread the word. There is nothing quite like it available. Go to www.livingwithloss.

The Miracle of the Corn stalk.

This spring I was having a " Kelly Day " and feeling sad and melancholy about his loss in my life, as I gazed out under the shade of the newly leafing tree...again I see the image of " Dad" in the shadowy grass and oddly very similar the cornstalk image 20 years earlier. Love never dies.
